Ms. Margerita Ferron

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Margerita Ferron is a passionate advocate for individuals with disabilities and the visionary founder of the Foundation for the Disabled Inc. With a dynamic background in legal studies and cosmetology, Ms. Ferron brings a unique, holistic approach to advocacy and care. Her academic journey began with legal studies at Novus Law School, where she deepened her understanding of how laws affect marginalized communities. She furthered her education at Briercliffe College and Cooper College.

Throughout her career, Ms. Ferron has demonstrated a commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities, notably through her role as a teacher at the Department of Health’s Bureau of Day Care. There, she equipped caregivers and educators with essential knowledge to enhance the quality of care for children with special needs.

Through the Foundation, she has created a platform dedicated to raising awareness, advocating for disability rights, and providing critical resources and education. Her work is fueled by compassion and guided by a powerful blend of legal, health, and wellness expertise. Ms. Ferron’s unwavering mission continues to improve lives and inspire communities to build a more inclusive society.
In recognition of her unwavering leadership and dedication to advancing the rights of women and girls, Ms. Ferron was honored at the United Nations during the CSW69 / Beijing+30 event on March 21st, 2025. As part of the MISS CARICOM side event titled 'Celebrating Caribbean Women Who Broke the Glass Ceiling,' she was celebrated as a SHERO for her exemplary advocacy and contributions to disability rights and women's empowerment. The event, held at United Nations Plaza, honored trailblazers under the theme 'UN Women for All Women and Girls.
